Cystitis is a type of urinary tract infection (UTI), or a bacterial infection that affects the bladder. It’s particularly common in women.
Symptoms of cystitis include: discomfort or a burning sensation when you pee, urine that’s dark or cloudy, or needing to use the toilet more than normal. In some cases, people will experience nausea or a high fever.
