Compliance guidelines

Here are the key DOs and DON’Ts to help you promote MedExpress responsibly:

Dos

Use phrases like:
  • “MedExpress offers online weight-loss services tailored to you.”
  • “MedExpress offers the most effective weight loss service.”
  • Explore convenient, expert-led weight-loss treatments through MedExpress.”
Use phrases like:
  • “Access confidential weight-loss support from the comfort of your home.”
  • “Visit MedExpress to learn more about their clinically-backed weight-loss services and use code XYZ40 at checkout.”
  • Check your eligibility for a weight loss treatment and get £40 OFF at checkout (minimum spend is £99).
You are allowed to show the MedExpress shipper box, but not specific medications (i.e. injection pens).
Always include:
  • “Ad – Affiliate” in your description.
  • Use the hashtag “#affmedexpress” in all content.

Don’ts

Examples to avoid:
  • “Get Mounjaro for £40 OFF.”
  • “Get £40 OFF GLP-1s.”
Don’t show yourself or others administering injections, or one specific product. You are allowed to show the MedExpress shipper box.
Focus on the service, not specific prescription access. Avoid statements like: “Get a prescription from MedExpress.”
Always include:
  • “Lose weight within X weeks on MedExpress.”
Don’t say:
  • “Thinking about starting on a weight loss injection or Mounjaro? Try MedExpress”

Terms and conditions

By participating in the MedExpress Affiliate Programme, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

  1. 1. Earnings and order approval

    • You will earn for every paid and approved order made using your exclusive affiliate code for our weight loss programme.
    • An approved order undergoes independent review by our clinical team to ensure customer eligibility.
    • For details on payment withdrawal, refer to the AWIN guide.

  2. 2. Affiliate code sharing guidelines

    • You may only share your affiliate code to promote the overall MedExpress weight loss programme.
    • Sharing your code publicly (e.g., on social media, forums, or websites) is allowed, provided you comply with advertising regulations:
      • You must not mention Prescription Only Medicines (POMs) such as GLP-1, Mounjaro, or Wegovy.
      • You must focus on promoting our weight-loss service without referencing specific medications.
      • You must include the hashtag #medexpress-affiliate-ad in all your posts.

  3. 3. Legal compliance

    • UK law prohibits advertising Prescription Only Medicines (POMs) to the public.
    • Sharing affiliate codes publicly in a manner that promotes POMs is a violation of these laws and will result in corrective action.
    • The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is the governing body responsible for enforcing these regulations. They may choose to prosecute any legal breaches. For further information on advertising regulations, please refer to the MHRA Blue Guide.

  4. 4. Consequences of non-compliance

    • Affiliates who violate these guidelines will forfeit any associated rewards and may be removed from the programme.
    • Severe breaches may result in further action, including suspension from future affiliate programmes.
